In a recent "Ask Dr. Christensen" Article in Dental Economics Magazine, Dr. Christensen is asked about alternatives to metal based restorations, specifically full contour zirconia.  Dr. Christensen answers by covering all the potential for and against this and other high strength all-ceramic options.  We feel he hits on so many important points about these all-ceramic materials that we felt it imperative to share with you.

We have had great success with many of the materials he mentions such as empress and e.max from Ivoclar Vivadent, and we have always been proponents of using "major brand" materials in our production process.  We too are new to full contour zirconia but the results have been promising so far.  We look forward to exploring this material more.
